EXPERIENCE MATTERS

  • C-Innovation Successfully Completes Stem Clamp Installation on BP’s Mad Dog Spar
C-Innovation, LLC (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has completed the installation of several stem clamps for BP beneath the Mad Dog Spar in the Gulf of Mexico, utilizing its subsea inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) remotely operated vehicle (ROV) vessel, MV Dove. Throughout the planning process, several risks… Read More
  • Flowline Hydrate Remediation
Client: W&T Offshore Project: Fastball Flowline Hydrate Remediation   Scope of Work Remediation/removal of complete hydrate blockage and flushing of flowline to satisfy government requirements for decommissioning was performed.  The project took 19 days to complete. The tie-back well had already been de-completed and the jumper removed. Access was through a high-flow Hotstab port on a… Read More
  • Acid Stimulation of Wells
Client: Anadarko Petroleum Company (APC) Project: Acid Stimulation of Wells Location: KC875 #1 (Lucius), GC770 #1 (Caesar-Tonga), and GC683 #3 (Caesar-Tonga)   Scope of Work The prescribed acid treatment to stimulate each well was pumped down dual, open-water coiled tubing (CT) downlines to the subsea well location. The TEI 15K STIM package was used to… Read More
  • Flowline Segment Hydrate Remediation
Client: Eni Petroleum Project: Longhorn Flowline Segment Hydrate Remediation Location: Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi Canyon, Block 502   Scope of work The primary objective of this project was to clear the flowline of a hydrate blockage to restore production from well #3. The extent of hydrate formation was unknown. The only access was through 1”… Read More

RISERLESS LIGHT WELL INTERVENTION EXPERTISE

The RLWI Team was awarded a two-year contract in March 2022 for continued Riserless Light Well Intervention (RLWI) services onboard the Island Venture offshore support , a 160-meter (525′), DP-3 vessel is ideally suited to perform deep-water riserless interventions in the Gulf of Mexico.  The award also has a mechanism to pull in other vessels which the client has optioned to pull in the Island Intervention for a year of well intervention work. The contract follows a previous 3 year agreement which began in 2019.  The Island Venture and Island Performer have executed over 25 well interventions on multiple Deepwater wells in the Gulf of Mexico since 2019.

The RLWI team continue to improve performance and efficiencies through the knowledge we have gained over the past five years, executing over 40 Well Interventions since 2017.  The Interventions performed have been both mechanical e-Line and slick Line type interventions as well as straight hydraulic stimulations.  Additionally C-Innovation’s RLWI Team have developed methodologies to perform interventions that have not been achievable from a conventional RLWI approach, such as; Riserless Interventions of sub ambient wells and interventions that have no vertical well access. C-Innovation collaborative approach of our various subsea disciplines the operators and our subcontractors have contributed to our success.

CASE STUDIES

  • Shell Europa (2019)
C-Innovation vessels Island Venture, Island Performer, Carol and Fast Hauler were brought to the Europa Pipeline where a Phase 2 completion took place. Pipeline communication was achieved to the Mars platform following four tractor runs: Run #1 – 14,500’ Run #2 – 26,980’ (world tractor distance!) Run #3 – 22,000’ Run #4 – 26,038’ The… Read More
  • Perdido 4-Well Campaign
A total of five well stimulations were completed for this campaign, most notably Coulomb C4 and Perdido 4-Well.
  • Perdido 4-Well
This was first executed by the C-I team for Shell, as a multi-well intervention and infield fluids supply project. Our team pumped four scale inhibitor squeezes by accessing one well (GA12), and continuing work within 150 feet of spar.

Hear From C-Innovation Chief Operating Officer

Q: What are some of the challenges you and your team have had to overcome in the COVID-19 landscape?

A: Working through the restrictions of COVID-19 has required all divisions of our company to come together as a team. The biggest burdens have undoubtedly fallen on our offshore personnel, with mandated quarantines and extended work schedules, and we have spent a lot of time and effort trying to minimize the impact. We are proud of both our onshore and offshore employees for conquering these challenges and recognize the tremendous efforts they have made to allow us to maintain our high standards of service!
