C-Innovation is accepting resumes for ROV Senior Pilot Technicians. A qualified candidate would have at least 360 days of experience as a pilot tech.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent/University or Technical Training Formal ROV operator training
- Nominally 360 days as ROV Pilot/Tech I with completed assessments
- Holds a current valid Offshore Medical Certificate
- Holds a current certificate in an offshore survival course suitable for geographical area of work
- ROV operator experience is required
Responsibilities
- Assists ROV Supervisor to determine field solutions and resolve project barriers
- Adheres to mechanical/electrical principles to industry standards
- Piloting, navigation and log keeping
- Performs routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshoots and gives input to field solutions
- Reads and generates schematics
- Does launch and recovery of ROV system
- Ensures that the ROV is checked before and after the dive in accordance with relevant pre and post dive checklists
- Follows lock out tag out procedures in accordance with C-Innovation policies.
- Understands and operates within the established company HSE policies and Operating Standards
- Works offshore in harsh weather environments on a rotation or call-out basis
- Repairs, maintains and operates the ROV umbilical cable handling system (winch and hydraulic power unit)
- Repairs, maintains the ROV hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Maintains the mechanical spares shipboard inventory
- Aware of legislation/guidance, e.g. reporting accidents – managing safety of team on night shifts
- Coordinates the upkeep of the ROV system planned maintenance schedules
- Performs all general manipulator duties
- Works as directed by supervisor
HSE Responsibilities
- Notify the ROV Supervisor immediately of any accidents, illnesses, incidents, near misses, etc.
- Participate in the Company’s safety programs (e.g. BBS, Pre-Job Safety Meetings, Toolbox Talks, Control of Work, Near Miss, Risk Assessments, etc.)
- Utilize “Stop Work Authority” if any personal safety, environmental risk, property damage or Company reputation are at risk
- Responsible for ensuring the maintenance and use of all necessary PPE
- Performs all duties while wearing protective equipment to include PFD, gloves, boots, eye protection, hearing protection, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring the elimination of at-risk behaviors by reducing unsafe conditions and unsafe acts on and around the work site
- Participate in safe jobs, toolbox talks, safety briefings, MOM, lessons learned, 52-Week Training Matrix topics and HSE Summary Meetings
